Data model: wiTrimRun

General description: A description of unique geometrical coverage of each field in a RUN/CAMCOL, including only those pixels that are unique within the run and excluding the 64 pixels on each edge (that is, [64:1983, 64:1424]). We trim away from the edge to avoid declaring edge objects primary. The geometry is expressed in terms of a spherical polygon for each field. Each spherical polygon is expressed as the intersection on the sphere of a number of "caps." See the mangle documentation for a full explanation.

Required column names:

• XCAPS[3,NCAPS] (float64): direction on the unit sphere of each cap defining the field
• CMCAPS[NCAPS] (float64): size of each cap defining the field
• RUN (int32): drift scan run
• RERUN (string): reprocessing rerun number
• CAMCOL (int32): camera column
• FIELD (int32): field number
• NCAPS (int32): number of caps defining the polygon
• WEIGHT (float32): "weight" of polygon (place-holder, just "1" always)
• STR (float64): solid angle of polygon (steradians)
• USE_CAPS (int64): bitmask containing which caps to actually use

For IDL users, this file is in a "FITS" mangle format, readable by the idlutils routine "read_fits_polygons".
