General description: These files describe the settings for a given plate design. In addition to the allowed settings, this file can override anything set in the plateDefault file.

Required header keywords:

• designID (int32): design identification number
• plateType (string): type of plateDefault file to use
• raCen[N] (float64): right ascension for each pointing, J2000 deg
• decCen[N] (float64): declination for each pointing, J2000 deg
• nInputs (int32): how many input files to use?
• plateInputindx (string): for each input file, where is it (under $PLATELIST/inputs)

Optional header keywords (in addition to any header keywords available in the plateDefault files):

• platedesignVersion (string): version of plateDefault file to use (for backwards compatibility; if specified it must agree with the corresponding entry in the platePlans file
• priority[nInputs]: order of priority for input files; lower numbers get checked first; if two files have the same priority, their targets are checked simultaneously (in order of the individual priority number for each object); (default is 1..nInputs).
• dRa[nOffsets]: offset in RA, for observations which have one defined in plateDefault; given in coordinate offset, not proper angular distance
• dDec[nOffsets]: offset in Dec, for observations which have one defined in plateDefault
